Bitcoin address QR code generator
Pasting a 34-character address by hand invites mistakes. A QR code in the bitcoin: format lets a wallet fill it in for the sender. The code stores your address directly, so it works forever without any account or server.

Templates are hand-built style presets (colors, gradients, dot and eye shapes), not AI art. They keep your logo, frame, shape and transparency, and every one is dark ink on a light background with at least 4.5:1 contrast. The scan check above still judges your final design.

Who uses a Bitcoin QR code
Donation pages and open-source projects
Place the code in a README or on a donation page for supporters who prefer on-chain gifts.
Shops that accept bitcoin
Display a static address at the till, though a fresh address per payment is better for privacy.
Invoices and freelance work
Add the code to an invoice next to the amount due.
Paper backups of a receive address
Keep a printed code of a public address for repeat deposits (never print a seed phrase or private key).
How it works
- 1
Open your wallet app and choose Receive to see a mainnet address.
- 2
Copy the address with the wallet's copy button, not by retyping it.
- 3
Paste it here. We check the format; a bc1 address also gets a full checksum test, while 1… and 3… addresses are checked by shape only.
- 4
Scan the code with your own wallet and confirm the address matches the one you copied before sharing.
Frequently asked questions
Does this verify the address belongs to me?
No. It only checks the format, offline. Check the address character by character before printing. The code encodes it exactly as typed, and funds sent to a wrong address are usually unrecoverable. This tool never holds or moves money.
Can I add an amount or label?
Not on this page. The code is just bitcoin:<address>, and the sender enters the amount in their wallet.
Is reusing one address a problem?
It works, but every payment to it is publicly linked. For more privacy, many wallets can generate a new address for each payment.
Will it ever stop working?
No. It is a static code containing the address itself, so no account or server is involved.
